Down on the farm this weekend............

........there was lots of this............shifting sheep.
It was all hands on deck to help with putting up fences.
It really is a dog's life around here!

There was time for some Butterfly Garden stitching on Sunday night, and finally I have finished one of these needleturn daisies ..................

..............and another miniblock from Block One.

Not the most perfect needleturn, looks a bit bumpy round the edges to me, but it will do for now.  I have another 15 of these to try and get my technique right!

Hope you had a fabulous weekend too ................Nicky

Only you could see bumpy edges. If that's a beginner's needle turn, I can't wait to see what you do as you get more experience.

And that's a lot of sheep! I had no idea there would be so many.

Looks like a beautiful day out on the farm. The needleturn and Butterfly Garden is gorgeous - love the french knots in the centre of the flowers!!

Hi Nicky, you all started lambing yet? There are quite a few up here bouncing around. Your needleturn looks great, put the magnifying glass away sweetie and then you will see what the rest of us do - nice smooth lines.
cheers - Miche'le

Your needleturn looks great. Can't see any bumpy edges.
Indulge a clueless city girl for a bit: how many sheep do you have? Do sheep really come in black? Does NZ actually have more sheep than people?

Your quilt blocks are really pretty. I guess we are all our own harshest critics - your stitching looks perfect to me!

It looks like a lovely corner of the country that you live in with all those rolling green hills.
