Anyone there?

Hello there, I won't be surprised if you've all disappeared from visiting here, much as I have lately.  I have been very absent from both my blog and visiting and commenting on others for the last month or two.  School camp, family visiting, school holidays, winter sport getting under way and lots of busy days on the farm has meant little sewing or blogging time for me.  Hopefully things might settle down soon!

I have finished my feeble attempt at the Tis the Season wallhanging which was the April project for  the Stitch-A-Long blog.  The original has three stitchery blocks joined in a horizontal row, but I have settled for one this time.

The only other thing I've really worked on lately has been to finish joining the 'petals/blades' for the Dresden plates for the Sugar Dish quilt.   Time to decide on centre circle colours and how I'm going to attach them to their backgrounds......

I have the fabrics all ready to go for the bag for the May Stitch-A-Long project, and will do my best to get it done before the 31st!  Hope you're having a great weekend whatever you're up to, it is a beautifully warm, breezy day here today, though we are being warned about snow for Monday....... not looking forward to that......

Till next time(hopefully not so long next time though) ........  Nicky x

Hi there Nicky! very cute wall hanging. I love your Dresdens, I look forward to seeing what centre fabric you choose & the background fabric. There is something yummy about Dresden, don't you think? I must do some more of mine.
Your weather sounds like what we had the other day, now it is bleak, wet & wintery.......soup on, light fire later!
Enjoy your weekend.

Cute wall hanging. I must get out my 'Tis the Season and start stitching some. Very cold here in Gisborne today. Colder than it was down in Queenstown last weekend. Hubby about to light the fire soon

We are a patient lot. Things will never settle down - trust me on this. I have been saying it for two years and realised that I just need to go with the flow and what is happening. Will read whenever you can blog!!

Hi Nicky! I really like the colors for your Christmas project. It's adorable! How funny to think of it snowing there! I did make a card with a snowman on it today... maybe I should send it to you!

Sweet little Christmas hanging.....I wouldn't worry about not having the other two done.....even a little stitching is better than none. If it does snow I hope you can stay tucked up warm inside!

Love the stitchery block. And the colors in the dresden plates are so pretty. Looks to me like you have managed to do quite a bit of needlework given all the other demands on your time.

Always so weird to hear you talk about seasons opposite from mine. But stay warm and hope any snow you get is just conversational as we say here to describe a light snowfall.

Hi Nicky! Yup, still here and busy as well - totally know what it's like! :o) We were in NZ for three weeks over March/April, so that was lovely. We had great weather the entire time and lots of fun with friends and family. I'm still trying to catch up on everything since getting back... nice to see a post from you!

Great to hear from you Nicky. Love the wallhanging and the Dresden plates look tremendous.Did you get the same amount of snow as Dunedin? There is a reasonable height mountain here near where I live (Mt. Pirongia)and apparantly it had snow on top yesterday. Not a regular occurence.Stayed indoors and sewed some patchwork. Most enjoyable.Shirley
