Missing in action

It's been a very unproductive week here for me.  I've had a nasty tummy bug which kept me away from work both on- and off-farm and feeling very sorry for myself.  So far the rest of the family have not succumbed, so for that I am grateful.

I started to feel a little better yesterday, so finished these Butterfly Garden miniblocks.  The plan for the weekend is to piece Block 1 of this quilt together and also piece my next A Gardeners Journal block.
Grethe is also working on her Butterfly Garden quilt again, her blocks are beautiful - do take a look, and Fiona has some wonderful fabrics ready to go here too.  Cardygirl says she's got one to finish too ...........as does Peg ................ no pressure ladies .........lol ..............and then there's the little challenge with Josie .......if anyone else has one lurking or ready to go feel free to out yourself ..........................

I've also dragged Virtues Sampler from the bottom of the stitching basket and got some more done. It's been quite some months since I did any cross stitch and I'm enjoying it. Both of these projects were on my WIP list from the start of the year, so I'm easing the guilts a little. lol   Sorry about all those wrinkles in these pics!

I am so behind on blog reading and returning emails so will try and catch up over the weekend.

Have a wonderful weekend.......till next time Happy Stitching...................Nicky

Hi Nicky, oh you poor wee thing. There has been a terrible tummy bug running round this place too but now we all seem to be fine. For sonme one that has been ill you've achieved a fair bit - good on you.
It's cold and very wet here and although it's perfect for stitching I just can't be bothered - you put me to shame my freind.
Get well soon
hugs

Poor you, hope your tummy's better really soon. Love the Virtues sampler (I have the pattern but have taken no action on it yet!) and your blocks are lovely.

Sorry you haven't been feeling well. These bodies just don't cooperate sometimes! But sounds like you are improving and you do seem to have gotten a lot of great work done. Love that block with the big flower!

You stitching didn't suffer though.... you did great. TWO blocks of BG done.... I'm going to get my skates on before you overtake me!
Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Hope that nasty flu has left for good, Nicky--sure hope no one else in your house comes down with it.

Your blocks are gorgeous and your Virtue sampler is really coming along nicely. Hope you continue to rest up this weekend and feel all better very soon :)

Thanks Nicky, we are fine, although I type this at 1.05am, can't sleep yet. The men are up playing Playstation, only Basil is asleep, he finished night shift Monday morning. How did the quake feel to you, it was truly frightening we so hope it's going to stop soon but then we get another. Basil said if we win Lotto we are going to move to Omarau, which sounds like heaven to me.
